The open enrollment for Obama Care began on November 15, 2014 and will remain open through February 15, 2015. (The previous deadline for Obama Care ended at the end of March this year.) However, even after the deadline passes, if you were to go through a life emergency such as a loss of job resulting in loss of insurance or a pregnancy; you may be able to apply before the official and posted deadline. Life emergency information can be found at

You can also apply for government care such as Medicaid and CHIP (Children’s Health Insurance Program) outside of the enrollment window.

Always check the state marketplace sites to see if you are eligible for exceptions or your case might be determined as an emergency. If you do not explore the sites, you will not know if you qualify for emergency help. Click Here to learn more about Your State.

The Obama Care program for health care has set a number of various and staggered goals. There are plans to be met by the end of 2014, criteria to be met by the end of 2015, and goals relative to small businesses to be met by 2016. Failure for meeting these goals will result in penalties and stiff fines. If you are uninsured or own a business with more than 50 people who you are not providing insurance for, you will want to familiarize yourself with all parts of Obama Care for your state.

The official  Deadline for ObamaCare enrollment period is Feb 15, 2015. Important Notice: Its urgent, to avoid future fines and penalties, to sign up for health insurance under the Affordable Health Care Act.
