You can sign up for Obama Care online at your state’s individual marketplace site. If you do not have access to a computer, you may call at 1-800-318-2596 or visit a marketplace office. Open enrollment begins on November 15, 2014. That window for application acceptance will remain open until February 15, 2015. Remember, the emergency time period, in case you become pregnant or lose your job/insurance, is always open year round. The official sites have chat experts; help lines, hot lines, and a “questions most frequently asked” section to guide you through the application process.

Do not be over-whelmed with the process of applying. Simply compile your paperwork, review the plans offered, and then begin the application process. Call or chat when you have problems or when you have questions. Allow yourself plenty of time in order to thoroughly complete the application process for your Obama Care coverage.

After you have signed up for your desired Obama Health Care plan, you will need to make your first premium payment before the date it is due. Failure to do this will result in being dropped from the policy. Thereafter, you will need to make the payments prior to the due date. Any financial situations that make you unable to pay the insurance payment should be reported immediately at an assister. Do not fail to report this situation immediately.
